Vehicle Summary: 2008 Mercury Mountaineer
The midsize Mercury Mountaineer is a more upscale version of the Ford Explorer. It offers pavement-friendly all-wheel drive instead of the Explorer's off-road-ready four-wheel-drive system. The Mountaineer comes powered by either a V6 engine with a five-speed automatic transmission or a V8 with a six-speed version. Many safety features and chassis control systems are included with a long list of convenience items optional.
