Vehicle Summary: 2008 Lotus Elise
The truly tiny Lotus Elise roadster is a quick and nimble sports car that can outrun many costlier competitors. A 190-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine is standard, with a 220-horsepower supercharged version also available; the latter allows this lightweight car to reach 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. A six-speed manual is the only available gearbox. As is Lotus' tradition, the Elise delivers razor-sharp handling. Both interior space and comfort and convenience features are at a premium. A fixed-roof coupe version is sold as the Lotus Exige.
